I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges. "The room was spotless and white bed linen crisp and white. However the overall rating was let down by historic carpet stains in abundance throughout the property. The sash windows either need repairing or replacing and the glass was blown therefore affecting the view. Also one of the windows could not be closed and the others couldn't be opened. The coffee shop within the hotel served great coffee and iced coffee and staff were so nice. The hotel itself just needs a bit of money spent on it to...
