"Room was okay, staff were courteous and listening. However, management had to do something about smoking policy on the first floor where customers are permitted to open wide their doors and fill the entire floor with smoke. It poses terrible hazard on everyone on the entire building. Also had to be chasing on a single iron which is used by everyone,for this reason I had to wear my clothes without ironing."

The staff member who helped me at checkin (after a long busride when all I wanted was to relax and have a shower) was rude, and I had to convince then that I had a paid reservation, even though I was showing them on my phone! "Cockroaches. I stayed there two nights, killed about 10 of the little bast**** I complained, they said they would spray, they didn't. Front desk service was, poor, unprofessional, half the time there was no one at the front desk. They encouraged me to never book using Hotels.com again, they wanted cash. Swimming pool was so cloudy I never entered the water. I will never stay here again. Oh and breakfast was two eggs and two fried hot dogs. "

"My stay at the pelican hotel was nothing short of amazing. The staff was extremely hospitable and supportive throughout the entirety of my wife and I’s stay. We were visiting Ghana for a wedding and due to some wedding programming had to switch rooms on two occasions; the staff was extremely helpful in getting us relocated to our new rooms and ensuring that the room was up to par on a daily basis. Even the small details such as getting a small pouch of sweet and savoury plantain chips really made us happy to come back to the hotel each day. Also the food at the hotel restaurant was very good. We really enjoyed the whole grilled fish with yam chips. The entire team was great, but some of the folks that stood out for us were Michael and Vincent at the front desk and Shadrack, the security manager, who really took care of us and even helped arrange some sightseeing. Highly recommend!"
