Beautiful views but not great service

"The views and location were incredible. Panaramic views were amazing from anywhere in the hotel and the balconies. But, the hotel was not exactly as advertised. Service was near non-existent, we did not receive a bottle of wine as promised, and the bar and restaurant that was advertised did not seem ..."

Friendly community, with good hiking opportunities. Tasty local produce, including local cheese and salami.

It’s surprisingly time consuming to get from Agerola down to the coast road or beaches, but a great location for hiking in the mountains. There are plenty of hotels further down the mountain side with great views which are s lot more accessible.

Agerola is a good base for exploring the Amalfi Coast as you are part-way between some of the lovely places to visit: Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii.

Do not recommend driving unless you are VERY confident

Nice enough, but uninteresting in comparison with the whole area. Good for hill walking, not meant for history/culture! On the other hand, it is not destroyed by tourist hordes and car blight. The road down to Amalfi is great with spectacular views.
