We absolutely loved our stay at Poppy villas, maria was very kind and helpful, the villa we stayed in (no9) was amazing, overlooked pool and sea, with a stunning view, the villa was well equipped, everything you could want, beds extremely comfortable too had an amazing time

The property location and view was breathtaking—overlooking the sea. The property owners were kind and accommodating. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Great location. Convenient to Agios Nikolai and everything Eastern Crete.

Super little family run establishment. Fantastic sea view from a decent sized balcony. Large, well equipped apartment. Nice local beach, taverna and mini market. Fabulous location for accessing the East and South of Crete. I would certainly go again.

The first point is the steep slope upto the properties from the road, we had read some of the other reviews and it isnt at all bad, as long as you are in first gear its a breeze!! Another negative thing we read was the steps down to the road, if you are on foot, these were not as bad as other reviews say!! Yes they are slightly uneven but not a problem to get up and down them. We stayed in number 6 (a 2 bed villa) and it was clean, well equipped and had lovely sea views!!! The owners were plesant and welcoming and were helpfull with a problem we had with the air con, the main switch had tripped in thd fuse box!! All in all we had a fabulous, relaxed week there and would definitely stay again!!!

La vue depuis le logement et depuis la piscine est époustouflante ! Le menage fait tous les jours est un plus qu il n y a pas dans les locations d appartement habituellement. La plage de sable accessible par un escalier depuis la résidence est tres agréable et la.proximité d Agios Nikolaos à 5mn en voiture permet de s y rendre souvent. Les proprietaires sont disponibles et a l écoute. Sejour parfait!

Huge villa - walk to beach.

This family-run hotel was in a quiet beach area but was an easy 10 minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Aghios Nicholaos. The hard-working owners were always available to answer questions and to offer recommendations. The villa was very spacious and could have comfortably fit 6 people. Rooms were cleaned daily. We ate breakfast every morning on the oversized patio that faced a huge and very clean pool. The pool deck had a tremendous view of the beach and the sea. The owners took obvious pride in their property. WiFi was reliable and consistent. Ammoudara Beach was an easy 2 minute stroll across the road. The beach itself was very clean and calm. The nearby beachside restaurants offered delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. The beach chairs and umbrellas were free if you ordered drinks or food.I would highly recommend the 10-15 minute drive to the traditional mountain village of Kritsa as well as to the nearby town of Istro (quite a few restaurants and cafes as well as a great bakery). Elounda was about 20-25 minutes away. Major supermarkets were 5 minutes away. If you are looking for a hotel that is safe, quiet,spacious, reasonably priced and away from the crazy crowds of the big resort areas I would highly recommend Poppy.

Perfect quiet, spacious and friendly villa

Lovely quiet location opposite the beach with a couple of local bars and a short drive to Agios Nikolas. Spacious villa, well looked after and always clean as was the pool area and grounds. Very friendly welcome from the family who own the villas. Always greeted with a smile, very helpful but not intrusive. Would happily return in the future.

Een mooie plek

De Poppy Villas liggen op een heuvel/rots die uitkijkt over de baai van Mirabello, 3 km van Agios Nikolaos met een schitterend uitzicht. De huisjes hebben ditzelfde geweldige uitzicht. Ook is het goed toeven bij het zwembad. (zeer geschikt voor kinderen). Beneden ligt een klein gezellig zandstrand met 2 tavernes en een supermarktje. Tip: ga snorkelen in de hoek bij de rotsen. Daar zitten prachtige vissen (kaakje of brood meenemen om te voeren). De huisjes zijn goed onderhouden en schoon, voorzien van airco (ook in de slaapkamers) met een mooi terras. De keuken is aan de kleine kant, met weinig kookgerei. Wel nieuw, maar de inventaris is meer van de rommelmarkt. Vlakbij ligt Agios Nikolaos. Aan de haven of het meer is het goed toeven. Let op: het archeologisch museum is nog steeds dicht. Wat heel leuk is om te doen: de "onderzeeër" die vanuit de haven vaart. In de buurt kun je ook duiken bij het Mirabello Hotel bij het Crete Underwater Center. Wij hadden ook de oude stad Lato nog willen zien (vlakbij) maar daar is het niet meer van gekomen. Nadeel van Poppy Villas is de drukke kustweg, die je moet oversteken. Als je aankomt let dan op de zeer scherpe bocht om steil naar boven te rijden. De Wifi was prima, de ontvangst van tv-zenders beperkt.

Veldig koselig familiehotell med basseng og gangavstand til en flott strand . Flott utsikt over Middelhavet og kun en kort bussreise inn til Agios Nikolaos. Stor og flott veranda med snorer og tørkemuligheter for badetøy og håndklær. Meget hyggelige og hjelpsomme eiere.

Close to a lovely sandy beach. Great pool.

Our apartment was clean and spacey. Kitchen and cooking facilities were basic, but enough for a simple pasta. Beach is few minutes walk away and has 2 places where you can eat.

Great location near the beach.

Going in October we weren't sure what the weather would be like, but it was superb - warm and sunny, definitely beach weather. The villa was ideally situated, with its own pool but overlooking the sea and a beach within a 2 minute walk. We were able to go into the nearest big town very easily, either by bus, taxi or car, where there was a large choice of restaurants and shops etc, but also there were 2 local tavernas by the beach which was ideal if you didn't fancy going very far. Everyone was very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome.

Ne cherchez plus, vous avez trouvé !

Si vous cherchez des grands appartements avec une superbe vue sur la piscine et la mer, vous avez trouvé votre bonheur. Poppy Villas est une très belle propriété familiale, à quelques mètres de la belle plage de sable d'ammoudara, classée pavillon bleu. Vous pourrez donc vous prélasser sur les fauteuils gratuits de la plage, moyennant une simple consommation, ou autour de la très belle piscine. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter agios nikolaos a 5 mn en voiture à l'ouest ou la très belle plage de sable de Istro à l'est. depuis la construction de la nouvelle "voie express" la route côtière qui passe entre la résidence et la plage n'est pas trop passante. Les logements sont très bien entretenus, climatisés, et le coin cuisine est suffisant pour préparer ses repas. Cette résidence est d'un excellent rapport qualité prix. Allez-y ,vous ne serez pas déçus, mr et Mme Poppy vous attendent !
