"This was a relaxing 7 day stay in the Tuscan countryside after touring Venice, Verona, Lake Como, Milan, and Cinque Terre. "We stayed in a non-renovated room, and our first impression was that the carpet looked dirty. "Beautiful hotel. I didn’t quite understand we’d have to do a “staff-less” check in but once we saw our room keys it was extremely easy.
The hotel is beautiful and it is a very peaceful town with amazing Tuscan views.
The restaurant seems to be one of the best ones in the area. We went to San Gimignano and didn’t get a chance to dine there.
Would definitely stay again. "

"This is a working winery and while the apartments are somewhat rustic and without air conditioning they provided much of the charm and experience that we were looking for during our stay in Tuscany. "If I could give 10 star review to the owners/staff I’d give it. They are all very kind and friendly and were willing to make my stay easier/better at every opportunity.. arranging early dinner, adding a lunch booking late, chatting to us about visits we were planning in the area.. the list is endless. The property is beautiful, the service is exceptional and the owners/staff are lovely. And the food is delicious. Highly recommend. "

"L’Antico Pozzo never disappoints. This is our second time staying here, and the only way to see San Gimignano. While the tourist hordes overrun the town, sit in their quiet courtyard and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a bottle of wine, then walk to all of the towns attractions in the evening when the buses have all gone. Matteo was a great host, rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy. Location is tough to beat, just a short walk from the parking outside the city walls. "
