"Beautiful old convent reinvented to a unique hotel with so much character. We walked 5 mins into the little town to grab a bite to eat and a cocktail. We only stayed one night but it was lovely and very clean."

"The balcony is really nice. The toilet door doesn’t shut. Make my room light go off as I pull the card out, so room cleaning was not done. Despite telling the staff and at the reception verbally, the making the room was not done for 2 days during my stay."

"Lovely warm clean room perfect location. Would happily stay again"

"Lovely stay, we felt like we were staying with friends. We also appreciated the extra frig for guests and the fact that there were so many restaurants within a 5 minute walk."

"Great location. Handy to motorway and city. Quiet with little traffic. Room was as described and what we needed. Bathroom was lovely with heated flooring. Pool was well used by us and others. Restaurant had tasty, easy meals at a good price."

"Very nice and cosy"

"good "

"Traditional place very cool for friends to bond no tv which is awesome basic utilities not fancy perfect for a group of people"

"Cooking amenities lacking. Only 2 frying pans and 1 very small pot. One pan you could not use . It was so scratched that it was unsafe to cook in. Teatowel had holes in it. Fridge had last guests food still in it. Had to buy pegs to hang laundry. Washing machine on button was broken, thankfully they had another machine next to it. Rubbish bins were full. We were staying 5 nights with a family of 3 adults children so had to put rubbish in recycling bins. Lawns were very overgrown. Covers on...

"average old chalet "

"Staff was great, room was super-clean, breakfast was fine. The building itself is small and we were on the first floor and could hear people coming and going."

"Love this place. Feels like stepping back in time but with modern comfort. Bed was super comfy, room was spacious. Staff were lovely. Bathroom and room was clean. Short walk to train station. Won't hesitate to book again"

"This new place is a welcome discovery, perfectly positioned just a hundred metres or so from the Newmarket Train Station (direct CRL into the city) and also the Newmarket shopping district with Westfield, cafés etc. The rooms are very nicely appointed, the bed linen of excellent quality and the general ambience very pleasant. It presents excellent value in comparison to many other options - we will definitely we staying here again."

"Really great location, loved that. Excellent to have secure off street parking. Nice complimentary snack basket. The beds were comfortable. However, please note that the economy studio has one tiny high window, but is essentially a windowless block bunker under the back of the building. There is no natural ventilation, light or outlook. It was ok for us as on this trip we just needed a bed at night, however we would have been very disappointed if wanted to spend any time there. Also, one...

"Lovely new hotel centrally located in Auckland CBD. Nice views of the harbour and well appointed room with a super comfy bed. Nice welcome on arrival from Jameica on the front desk and great service from Thea in the Hotel Restuarant. Excellent food ,good portions and obviously cooked by a chef as opposed to a Cook. We’ve tried a number of Auckland CBD hotels and this one is our go - to."

"The motel is relatively new and clean. The gated parking space is good. The room is clean and quiet with lots of plugs. However, the bathroom lacks any hooks or rails for towels, etc and is very inconvenient."
