"Really conveniently down the road from the main station. There's secure lockers in the basement to store your case if you get there early (cost around £5/6 for 4 hours, they also offer 1 hour or a day rate). Easy to check in and use the app as your key card or you can get a physical key too at reception. The rooms are as pictured / as small as you'd expect - no space for cases - absolutely fine as a solo traveller but not if there's more of you.
You only get one small pillow per person. The toilet and sink were spotless but the shower absolutely needs a deep clean - I didn't want to use it. Room has heating but I ended up switching it off - hotel is pretty warm on its own, was comfortable to sleep.
TV has a couple of news channels to watch but you can mirror. Although not much space in the room would like to see a recycle bin somewhere in the hotel.
Some sandwiches and drinks available to buy by reception but not much. I found a local shop and Lidl to buy water etc otherwise around the main station they want £3/4 for drinks and small snacks.
Absolutely fine for a short stay - just give the showers a good clean and maintenance.

"We had a wonderful stay. The location is great. I had booked a basic room for my son and I. But the bed was extremely small for 2 people. So I had to upgrade for an extra charge. Keep in mind the bed sizes before booking. "
"I did not know when I booked this room that there was no bathroom. We were on the 5th floor. There were 14 rooms and 2 bathrooms.
The hard part was that the shower was in the same room as the toilet. So if someone was taking a shower- no one could use that toilet.
Very inconvenient.
I don’t recommend this hotel for families, people with bladder issues, or elderly.
Also we had some perishable snacks and restaurants leftovers. There are no fridges in the room. Since they have a restaurant, we asked if they could store our food. They said no/ it was against the rules. There are no ice buckets to perhaps put our food on ice. We had to eat what we could, then throw the rest away.
If you are a minimalist- then it would be a good place to stay because it is right next to Central Train Station. "
"Reception was nice and clean and staff were welcoming. I didn’t get the 20% voucher on check in so had to chase that the following day. The room was okay, but the rug didn’t look like it was very clean.
Breakfast is served on the second floor but when we stayed (over Easter weekend) there were a lot of families with children so very busy. I booked this hotel as it mentioned catering for coeliacs but there were very limited options. The hot section had mixed beans and some small breaded tater tots which is limited for hot breakfast. The room doesn’t come with complimentary water which is not great for those who travelled from further away. All in all, I’d say this is an average three star hotel in a quiet area."
