Our hosts, Mabel and Paul, were simply delightful and took the time to talk to us and offer us ideas and directions for our trip. Clearly they like what they are doing and they like dealing with guests. The B&B is clean, rooms are clean and relatively spacious, bathroom very clean and modern. Excellent Scottish breakfast. 5/5 all round

Very welcoming

Welcoming owners with a residents lounge and a wonderful open fire. Shower disappointing especially when other guests were using their shower. Owing to our very low immunity levels we left before breakfast so as to avoid other guests

We stayed at Ardoch Cottage for 2 nights at the beginning of June. It is a good, quiet location for the Loch Lomond area. Our GPS initially sent us off on a side road but the guest house was actually on the main road and easy to find. Very nice country setting. Paul was an excellent host and very knowledgeable about the area. We had a clean, comfortable room with tea, coffee and biscuits and a kettle. The wifi was the best we encountered on our trip. Cows woke us up the first morning! Breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit salad and yoghurt followed by a full English or whatever combination you wanted with plenty of tea and coffee. My wife fell in Balloch while we were there and injured her back. We came back to the guest house after the accident and Paul was most concerned. He gave us information about the nearest minor injuries clinic which we then visited. We appreciated his calmness and assistance. The next day as we left Paul came out with an armful of cushions and told my wife to choose whatever would make her more comfortable in the car. He was genuinely looking to help us out and would not take extra money for the pillow. Thankyou so much Paul. We would definitely stay here again.

Don’t look anywhere else

I was working very long hours at an event in Glasgow. Staying with Mabel and Paul felt like being at home with the amazing benefits of having fresh breakfast prepared and ready to go at the ungodly hours of the morning I was leaving. It made a massive difference to my working day and coming back to their B&B was like breathing out. Such lovely welcoming people, a super comfortable bed and gorgeous room, and great restaurant recommendations! What more could you want!!

The property was very conveniently located, and the owners gave good suggestions for things to see and do. The fire in the drawing room in the evening was a nice touch. Breakfast was fantastic!
