Cute, cozy, and comfortable!

The room was so lovely! Not too spacious, but well furnished and clean, and we did not feel uncomfortable in the small space at all. The amenities were great and we lacked for nothing. We super enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended.

This is our second stay at Stoney Rest. This time we selected a room too small for our needs. The double bed was pushed against a wall which made getting in and out of bed difficult. There was only one visible wall outlet and that was over the sink. Not appropriate for electronics and insufficient in number. There was a chest of drawers too big for the room making getting around difficult. Sounds like we had a bad experience. However we would stay again. Charming facility.

Stoney Rest Guest House is great!

We stayed for four days and found Stoney Rest to be an excellent place to stay--we would highly recommend it!

Neat and clean

Very well kept, neat and clean. One salient unnerving negative was... a large note posted on fridge stated that the common area was under surveillance. Almost too clean that you did not feel like you should be using the common area. Overall was good, but don't expect a welcoming or interactive Innkeeper. Totally self check-in and self-serve breakfast, which I suppose was Ok since I did not read it was a real B&B with a prepared cooked breakfast.

Not for the claustrophobic!

Cozy and clean, but felt strange not meeting the innkeeper. We knew the Barn Cats room was going to be small, but probably would not stay here again. Area was nice though, casual dining within walking distance , and nice ice cream shop next door.

A Beautiful Guest House with no Breakfast

This was the cleanest guest house and the décor was charming. I felt like I was staying at home. It was Very, Very nice. But it is no bed and breakfast. The breakfast was a do it yourself Keurig Coffee maker, little bag of powder donuts, yogurt and frozen bagels in the freezer. There is a diner across the street.

Wonderful place to stay

My husband and I enjoyed our stay we were in the primitive room was very clean we actually never meet the owner because we were in and out but they do a wonderful job really enjoyed the bfast and community kitchen would definitely stay here again.

Historic charming country inn

This whole place has a rustic, cozy charm. The community living room has a large wood fireplace where we sat and ate a home cooked breakfast. There are snacks and coffee/tea available at all times. The innkeepers are friendly but give you privacy.

Big game hunter

I came in for an overnight without a car. I was expecting an Inn where I could relax and enjoy the small amount of time I had--It was adequate and probably the best option in that area, however it fell a little short. First of all the good. The linens were clean as was the bathroom. I stayed in the Gent's room which was tiny and would have been fine except there was no full length mirror anywhere ( On the bathroom door would be the perfect spot by the way.) The breakfast options ( complimentary) were plentiful, and served on time. The fruit cup waiting for me was terrific~ Here's my challenge. I wanted to stay one night, but check in early because flights. They said I couldn't and so I had to buy Friday night. Turns out the Inn was not full and I was the only Saturday guest--so I felt taken advantage of. Also, the emails that came before my stay were not welcoming and anticipatory of a great experience, they were all about the obligation and cancellation clauses. The room itself had similar statements in the paperwork left for me. In general I felt governed, not welcomed. Now I did have a massage , which was great. Again however, it was all about the cancellation risk. An Inn is a business and they do need to protect profits, but they need to balance the messaging. The Inn Keeper seemed nice, but didn't have a word to spare. Finally there stuffed game and other animals everywhere. At least three -4 deer, ducks, owls, squirrels, etc. Kind of creepy.

Choice pick in Macungie

We've been to this lovely bed and breakfast inn twice now as we have friends in Macungie who happen to own the House of Metalworks jeweler in Emmaus. The Stone House is homey, accommodating, laid back, comfy, quiet and very clean. The innkeepers are responsive to requests and check in is a breeze. The breakfast is very good and abundant. Especially the omelets. We will be back next visit to Macungie.
