"This hotel is a gem if you want a slow weekend in the country. This area is stunning. The hotel is so charming, the hotel is situated right in the middle of the horse stud in beautiful historic buildings. There are birds everywhere so just lovely place to relax and listen to them. "We had a wonderful three nights in the mountain facing rooms. Added bonus of being able to watch the sun rise from the room. Friendly staff provided an excellent meal on the first evening. Breakfast choices were many and varied; we certainly set off each day well filled. The village itself was great for wandering around and the castle of course was the highlight. "Really unique accommodation in an old castle village! Driving in is something else, with all those narrow cobblestone laneways. Staff were super friendly. Our room was quite small, but had everything we needed. "
