"this was a staycation as i live in town. and I would have to say this is a great spot. the hotel staff if surprisingly friendly for ABQ. everyone was kind and helpful. our suite was lovely. we were on the sawmill side so some late night loud truck and burnouts. beyond that it was super lovely. highly recommend. great food and walk ability. Jim Long should make and intimate grassy converter venue across the street. instead of condos and put ABQ on the map as a girls trip weekend spot."

"Please don’t eat at the restaurant within the hotel… my son and I got sick that lasted for almost 24 hours… steak not fresh, margarita was watery and cheap liquor… not that cheap either… travel outside the hotel for food!"

"While the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, the unit and the surroundings are showing their age. It was perfect for our one-night stay, and served our purposes perfectly. The courtyard was very serene for sitting with coffee or an evening cocktail...or just reading a favorite book. (We were allowed to store our transportation in a safe location, which we deeply appreciated.)"

"Our room was clean and well appointed! Comfy bed, lots of space to put things and spread out. The food area was amazing (we had the Thai and loved it) and the bar had great drinks and excellent service. Really fun!"

"We accidentally booked an ADA room the shower was only usable in a chair. They gladly switch our room the next day. Bed was verrry comfy and the room was cozy and updated. The pool was cooking but not too. Cocktails at the bars were pretty spendy but staff was friendly. Walking distance to cute shops and restaurants and to the aquarium and botanical garden. Would stay again."

"The staff were very helpful when we decided to change hotels but I was shocked that the room rate jumped more than $50 a night. Then we were charged $7 a day to park in THEIR lot. When booked I saw no mention of this additional fee. When I contacted customer service they did graciously reverse the charge. The facility itself was very nice. My only complaint was financial."

"From all the times I have stayed at the Embassy this last time was awful, the air conditioner did not work, we went and reported it down stairs 3 times, there was no trash in bathroom, the TV in the bedroom did not work, there was popcorn on the couch the entire night the temperature was 84. Management said they were going to discount the room that has not happened."

"Room had a relatively fresh floor. The room wasn't super clean, but smelled like bleach when I got there and for the first few hours as I aired it out. Shower was poorly designed from a water flow perspective. AC worked well, but was quite loud as it kicked on(which it cycled on and off a lot)."

More importantly, if your goal is to just get off the road because you're dead tired and need a place to sleep and won't break the bank... this is it. Was it the Ritz? Nope. Did it do its job of providing a clean bed and a place to shower? Yes."

"A wonderful historic property. Very nicely redone. I think it’s super cool that when I was growing up this property was known as the psych hospital and now you can stay there. Gorgeous grounds, nice simple breakfast as well."
