Hotel is dated, but very clean. This time of year there’s nothing to do outside. The junior sweet was nice and clean. It was a comfortable stay with restaurants like fletchers close by and open most of the time.

Staff was incredible and accommodated each of my requests. Property is very unique - older and "old-school" and in beautiful condition. My room had a wonderful view and was enormous. On-site dining options are convenient and delicious.

Always a great choice I. Anchorage

The. Captian Cook did not disappoint. Still one of the best hotels in Anchorage. Dinner at the crows nest was outstanding.

A Stay Filled with Kindness and Grace I recently stayed at this hotel with my dear friend of over thirty years, who is in the advanced stages of muscular dystrophy. This trip was meant to be a small but meaningful getaway — a chance for us to rest and share time together — and the staff made it truly special. From check-in to checkout, everyone was friendly and professional, but Ross, the Front Desk Manager, stood out in an extraordinary way. He arranged for fresh roses to be waiting in our room and extended a late checkout so my friend could rest comfortably before our departure. Those small gestures turned an ordinary hotel stay into something deeply memorable. I’ve stayed here several times over the years, but this visit touched me most. The compassion and quiet care shown reminded me that real hospitality is about seeing people and meeting them where they are. Heartfelt thanks to Ross and the entire team — you created a memory we will both treasure.

We had the best time here. The rooms were comfortably spacious, with the exception of the shower/bathroom. Overall, the hotel itself offered a lot and is right in the heart art of multiple must see’s.
Hotel lobby was warm and comfortable.
There were a couple of great options for dinner and drinks in the evening. The spicy marg at whale’s tail was great and so was dinner.
We lived the coffe shop downstairs for coffee mimosas, provisions and merch.
A fun little spot around the corner for breakfast/brunch!

Great location but 40 parking fee for valet is steep considering room price. Very noisy street noise and we’re on the 18th of 20th floor facing mountains. The rooms are very old looking for price. Hotel is beautful. Wouldn’t stay again.
