Great state park for beach hiking and camping. Camping is allowed solely on the north side of the island and you much have you own way of getting to the island to camp. I camped out in August and had the entire island to myself after daytime boaters left the park at dusk!!! Beautiful state park, highly recommend!

Anclote key is a beautiful island and run as a state park of Florida. The island is primitive with lots of natural beauty. Was able to observe lots of wildlife with minimal crowds on the north side of the island. You can see the historic lighthouse from the south side of the island and the south side is great for day trips.
