A lovely stay. Bungalow 1063 is really nice. I marked it down a little as the terrace door wouldn't lock and the main light in the living area flickered a lot. I did report these faults. I was told someone would be round to fix them within 20 mins. After an hour I rang reception to chase this up and then 5 mins later someone came to fix the issues. Beautiful sunrises from the terrace! Very spacious bungalow. I slept very well. Staff at reception were okay. I don't feel they went out their way to welcome me. I had to ask for directions to the pool, ask about payments at bars etc (I was self catering). Nothing was really forthcoming coming. The map to find my bungalow was very clear. Maintenance work was going on by the pool when I was there so opted to sunbathe at the beach instead. Access to the beach is great. Sangria at the pool bar is ok, no food snacks offered which was disappointing. La Perlita on the beach is fabulous.

Wonderful stay in the Royal room with hot tub overlooking the garden and sea. Comfy bed, quiet location and walking distance to beach and restaurants. Friendly staff and even received chocolates on the pillows. I enjoyed using the exclusive Royal guests only pools.

Very nice see view, very good food. However there are multiple small things which need attention: deck outside was broken with screws sticking out (bit scarry when you travel with kid), faulty hairdryer, missing plug for hydromassage bath, sometimes houskeeping service did not left water or coffe capsulles and salty water in swimming pool (which we not expected)

From the moment I arrived I felt very welcomed and the staff couldn't do enough. The bungalow I stayed in was sublime - everything I needed and more...and approx 10 steps to the pool on one side, and 10 steps to the beach on the other side. My return flight wasn't until 9pm, and check-out is at 12 noon - however, they allow you to use the facilities and even have a shower and changing room so that you could freshen up after the day and before leaving for your flight - what a bonus! They also ordered the most perfect week of weather! LOL LOL AMAZING STAY - will definitely return!!! THANK YOU Barcelo Fuerteventura Castillo

Very good hotel. Modern, clean. The only gripe we had was with the food. We had an all-inclusive package and lunches and dinner were not good. Food was very uninspiring. Every day pizza, pasta and perhaps one type of fish. Dessert was also not good, except the fresh fruit. We ended up eating out every day.

I thought that the property was well maintained and organised, positioned in an ideal spot to access Caleta De Fuste resort and / beach. I was fortunate to receive an upgrade to Junior Suite. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The Castle in the grounds gave the hotel a sense of grandness. Although the swimming pool was very cold, I did access it. I liked that my block (3) was very close to the pool and buffet restaurant. I liked that I could also eat in the other hotel and try various cuisines e.g. Mexican. My only improvement would be for the buffet food to be hotter than it was. I know in the Mediterranean there is a tendency not to have the food piping hot but that's my preference.

This is a very good resort in a great location. You receive this flimsy card key to wear around your wrist. Either it stops working or it falls off. You need a better solution. I did half board and was not too happy with the food. I only eat meat. There was plenty of it but just not that good. My favourite food item was the made to order omelet at breakfast. In addition, at breakfast water is free. At dinner you are charged for water. In my opinion, this is an injustice. Overall, I would return to this resort, but would have my meals at local restaurants.

I’ve stayed at 3 separate Barcelo hotels in the past 3 years, this is the worst. It’s a huge site, it was a 20min round trip to walk to reception or for breakfast/dinner. When there was a problem with my keycard slightly before checkout time, the staff were not helpful, apologetic or sympathetic. It was 10 mins to walk there, queue to be seen, separate ‘royal level’ reception wouldn’t even talk to me, pointed me in the direction of main reception. All in all, a 35 minute total to resolve a key problem which left me 20 mins to shower and get organised. Room cleaning staff only made beds and changed towels, not one thing else, it isn’t acceptable with the price paid and for an upmarket hotel chain like Barcelo. Restaurant staff and food good, can’t fault that. Bar staff didn’t want to be there, rushed drinks and onto the next. Bars need tidying up, the harbour area is lovely, but the bar and entertainment area could be changed and made a lot nicer and certainly cleaner. All in all, I won’t stay again, there are better hotels out there.

Good: our bungalow was private and tucked away, quiet. Bed comfy Bad: had to kill a cocroach in the wardrobe, fridge didnt work, paint on wall was coming off, the property needed a lot of TLC buy was clean. Staff quite friendly, pool lovely, food mostly nice but sometimes cold. Loved the smoothies in the morning. Coffee good. Struggled to find tea spoons. Too many screaming kids, the restaurant could be split into 2 areas, one for adults only, the other area for families. Healthy 7 out of 10.

Inside and around the bed was swarming with tiny insects. I had to wait until the next day to change room. When reported to reception no apology for the inconvenience. Customer service was minimal. Not what I would expect for a 4 star resort.
