"Reception was great: staff helpful and efficient. Parking was adequate. We were given a free upgrade and I’d recommend the room with access to the veranda. Bed was very comfortable. The evening meal was slightly disappointing. However, it didn’t warrant a fuss. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Alfriston is a small Town with several restaurants and bars. Also, a few shops. A short walk to the Church and Clergy house to visit. "

"Nice place! When you arrive at the pub it doesn’t look the best place ever but the rooms are in great condition clean well located and very functional. You access by a separated door so don’t have to get into the pub! Good place! Parking can be tricky as there are only four spaces and they are in high demand always! I didn’t have a problem parking on Saturday afternoon and night! If you want to get good value for your money you are in for a budget option and don’t mind a bit of noise and the pub this is a great option! I would get back certainly!"

"I am a regular at this pub and love the ambience food etc. but The rooms weren’t ready as a cleaner was ill. It is a great place but the room was not up to standard. No heating at all and it was a chilly night. It is overpriced for a pub with rooms. Some decoration is def needed and some TLC. Will go back I am sure "
