This was our second stay and we loved it both times. Each staff member has been very friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect for walking and exploring the River Arts District. The hotel itself is so colorful and fun which makes it stand out against the normal drab feeling of a hotel. Exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms. We will definitely stay there again!

We love this place. It’s new, clean, big rooms, full kitchen, and laundry! The only things we had issues with were the air conditioning was finicky and our accessible shower flooded due to lack of drainage for the water. Overall, we love the location and will come back.

It is a bit difficult to find off of Google. Talked with the manager and he is working on that. They have available a secure self-serve parking garage. This is an excellent help. A great room, quiet, comfortable and well equipped.

This was a really great option for staying in the River Arts District. It was also extremely close to East Asheville and Downtown. The room was spacious, clean and modern. We got a room that had both a full kitchen and laundry in the room. There is no front desk service overnight, but that was not an issue for us.

While the unit itself was excellent, including in unit laundry, the location was not desirable. It was well outside of downtown, near very poor areas. Located next to a nightclub that played at very high volumes. No free breakfast or even coffee. Parking garage was secure, but at $20 per night.

The hotel itself was fine, pretty standard hotel and everything was clean. The room had a full kitchen and a washer and drier, I think maybe this hotel caters to more long term stays. Our room was overlooking the Grey Eagle (music venue bar next door) and we could hear music until 3 AM. It was so loud and disruptive, I am shocked that other reviews haven’t mentioned this! This definitely ruined the stay for us.

We found The Artful Way online and decided to give it a try. We were greeted at the door by a lovely woman with a bright smile. Check-in was seamless. The hotel is located at the top of a hill. We were given directions to the parking garage that is located behind the building. It was easy to find. Parking costs $20, which is cheaper than many hotels we have stayed at. The room is very spacious. It is an apartment size. Full kitchen that is stocked well, a big shower, and a full size washer and dryer in the bathroom. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and laundry pods are provided. The bed is very comfortable. There is a desk and dining area as well. The room is clean and bright. The outdoor fire pit area is calm and relaxing. It is within walking distance to New Belgium Brewery and other breweries, art stores, and restaurants. We have truly enjoyed our stay at Artful Way.

The room size and decore were wonderful. We really wanted to enjoy our stay, and felt like the hotel was great upon arrival. Unfortunately, things changed. The most distressing thing was the shower was tiled improperly and caused water to flow freely into the bathroom and out into the room! I mitigated the water with towels, and quickly told the person working the desk. She said, “Yeah, we know about that.” And made a sad face. I wasn’t feeling confrontational so we just showered with all the towels on the floor and threw them into the dryer each day. We couldn’t relax during a shower due to the crazy situation. They didn’t offer a different room, and obviously were fine with us putting up with it. Then upon returning home we discovered they charged us separately after we booked on Expedia. They are not a competent hotel, and they are not good with customer service. No one was rude, but they certainly didn’t care about our experience.
