The room was clean, including the bedding. The bathroom was very clean. The location is perfect. You have the beautiful, peaceful river right behind you and the gift shops and restaurants are a short walk away. We enjoyed our stay.

Great family trip! Riverside was a cute and comfortable little inn. The staff was great and we loved our room. We had a balcony which had a great view of the river. So peaceful. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I’m heartbroken for this community. So sad this little gem is gone. When they get up and running again we will definitely be back. One of my favorite towns in NC.

Very rustic, but quaint! Comfortable and clean. Old motor hotel well maintained. Being riverside is a plus and the sound of the rushing water was relaxing. If you’re looking for plush and posh, this is not for you, but if you can appreciate the charm and rustic feel as to how this motel fits into its environment, then it is for you.

Nice spot by the creek. The view from the balcony was great and peaceful. The one complaint is the walls are really thin, so you can hear everything. If you have kids, they may have a hard time sleeping at first until the tvs go off. Other than that, really nice stay!

Absolutely loved almost everything about this lodge- great location, friendly staff, clean, on the river, etc. The only thing not making this perfect is that unfortunately I am a light sleeper and the loud air conditioning unit kept me up. Probably not an issue to most people and not likely to be in the 90s most of the time like it was when I stayed. Besides this I would highly recommend!

Rooms are clean! Rooms are small but have the necessities that you need many fridge coffee maker but just know they do not have microwave s. Balcony was great. Rooms back up to water! Only thing is there was a gap at the bottom of the front door. Just put a towel in front and keeps little crawlers out and door to balcony wouldn't lock. Location is great!

Great location. Walls are paper thin and our neighbors left their tv on all night which was behind our head. We tried sleeping the other way but we could still hear it. We could hear everything they said and every foot step they took. Could you post a note in the rooms that the next room can hear everything and to be polite?

This place is Heaven!! The view from balcony couldn't be beat. It was a shared balcony but long enough that it didn't matter. We will be back and will stay in the same room. The mattress was so comfortable. The room was a little small but we spent most of time either on balcony or sight seeing. I wish I knew the lady's name that checked us in and we talked to many times. She works the afternoon shift. She is so sweet. 4 days was not long enough. The only issue we had (but didn't report it) was the last morning we had no hot water. Hoping to make this a yearly vacation and will stay in the same room (#10). Also we enjoyed playing in the river and tubing. We miss the sound of the river as well.

Beautiful Scenery

The hotel is located right on the river. You can hear and see it from your room. Very serene and quiet. The room was cozy and comfortable. We were right down the street from the village and Chimney Rock Park. The hotel had parking on the premises and really loved their contactless checkin via text message. We did not have to worry about time we arrived- very helpful. Only had 2 issues with this establishment. The wood floors in our room were not very clean, cause our socks got dirty after walking around. The other issue was we had NO HOT WATER that night or the next morning and had to take COLD Showers! The management told us they were having it repaired but would not be fixed til after we left. I don’t fault them for the repair issue, but they did not even offer any kind of discount for the room, just apologized
