"I’ve stayed at quite a few Motel 6 locations, and I can confidently say this San Luis Obispo spot is the absolute best of them all.
A few things really stood out during my stay:
The Bed: Unlike a lot of motels where the beds can be hit-or-miss, the mattress here was firm, solid, and incredibly comfortable. I got a great night's sleep.
The parking lot was spacious, easy to navigate, and felt very safe and secure throughout my stay.
Traveling with two small dogs can sometimes be a challenge, but this location made it so easy. There is plenty of nice, grassy space right on the property, making quick outdoor trips with the dogs completely hassle-free and convenient.
If you're traveling through SLO—especially with pets—look no further. Highly recommended!"
"The hotel room wasn't very child friendly. It had a lot of sharp glass corners on tables and desks. The bathtub had not been fully cleaned. The outer hall light was also visible through the door frame throughout the night. Plus, they charge $25 for parking and amenities--in addition to the price of the room when you check in"
"Breakfast here was surprisingly good. The property is well kept. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was a little firm but comfortable. Would definitely stay again."
"We really enjoyed our stay at La Serena Inn. The staff was very friendly. The property is charming. The room was comfortable, clean, and attractive. Be aware that the showers are tiny, and the shower gel/shampoo/conditioner is awkwardly placed and difficult to pump into your hand because of the shape of the spout and the placement, but that is certainly not a deal breaker. There was a tub, but since the soap and hair products are fixed on the shower wall didn't use the tub, even though I would have liked to. There's no gym, no pool, no food, but that's not what we were there for anyway. There are plenty of food options within walking distance. Also, there's not enough parking. We had to park in the street. But none of that deterred our enjoyment. We had a great sleep. The room even had a fireplace and a lovely balcony. We will definitely want to stay there again if we visit Morro Bay in the future. We do recommend it."
"Nice and safe location. Free breakfast and 2 free drinks at happy hour was good service. There was couple pieces of trash on floor, looks like it was not vacuumed well otherwise clean."
"Clean enough for one night. Floor was very dirty, rooms are not terrible but there was a big black spider on the wall that scared me. The restroom wall had poopoo stains near the trash can. But overall decent."
