"The room was clean and comfortable. Great walk in shower and very hot water.
We were very tired after an 8 hour travel day and being up since 5 a.m. so didn’t appreciate the 8 pm call to check in on us. I was sound asleep and it woke me. I appreciate the thought though. Very quiet other than that though!
I very, very, very much appreciated the desk chair that was high enough for the desk/table. It would have been nice to have two of them for the two of us. I wish all hotels would get this.
Lobby is beautiful and the breakfast seating area was very nice. Breakfast was the same as at any of the Choice Comfort Inns - nothing special, but the food was hot and the coffee better than what is available in the rooms. We always bring our own Kuerig type coffee maker and pods when traveling to avoid the less than mediocre coffee usually offered.
We only stayed one night but would certainly go back if we are ever in the area again."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kingston-Ulster by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was just the perfect place to have a quiet evening following a raucous party for a retired friend. The Staff was superb, the facility itself was immaculate and the breakfast offerings were second to none I've enjoyed anywhere else. The staff, from the Manager on Duty down to and including the fella preparing the breakfast offerings, all genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs ! That was such a pleasant encounter that I will be back here to stay when I'm ever in the general vicinity ! There was even a wheelchair we could use for one of our party who is suffering with an illness.
Wonderful, wonderful place."
"Beautiful and spacious balcony overlooking the mountains and golf course. We loved the view from our room 521. . Great place to relax before dinner with a glass of wine/cheese.
Location is good within walking distance to a most wonderful restaurant named prominence. Highly recommend. The on site restaurant was nice too.
Biggest disadvantage was the tv as it does not have any cable and then ending up with no signal at all. Other than that it was a really great place to stay."
