I had initially asked if I could checkout later on as my flight was delayed, the host had mentioned I could stay until 1 pm, but I offered to pay for staying longer (4 pm) checkout, he asked for £45, as soon as we got to the property he asked me to pay it upfront, the room he gave me had no view, the glass door was against the wall, I asked him if he could give me a crib to take outside (the patio) during the day so that my daughter could be playing in it safely he refused and told me that the crib if he were to even consider giving it to me had to stay inside, I said but the room is very dark and has no view, he replied “you have a view” and just walked away, the next day I found out that my flight was cancelled so I asked him at 7 am if I could just checkout the original time and get my refund as I had to find another accommodation that was more suitable for my daughter, he told me he would only consider giving me half the money back and I had to leave at 1 pm, I said that’s ok, when he came to bring the money he asked me very rudely and almost as if he was accusing me of being dishonest “if I had paid the £10 a day city tax” which he did not mention the first night, I said I didn’t think expedia would have not charged me for it already, he asked me to send him the receipt, as my phone had no battery I told him I will, he went upstairs and kept messaging me asking to send it, long story short he got to keep the money and I checked out at 2, very unprofessional and greedy.
