Everything was perfect. One of the best places to stay in Italian small cities. Friendly staff, perfect location, everything is clean.

The girl on breakfast duty was very friendly & helpful, the reception staff while pleasant, did not go out of their way to make you feel welcome. All in all we had a very good experience and would return.
Excellent service provided by the staff. We checked in late and they opened the restaurant just for us. Food was great and they make us feel special the whole time.
This is a nice hotel in a small city. It is updated, clean and convenient to nearby attractions, and there is a wonderful full-service, fine dining restaurant on the property. The breakfast is very good. Service was wonderful - everyone was friendly and willing to go above and beyond to assist. There is also a nice pool and lobby bar. We will definitely stay here again if visiting Avellino.
Nice hotel and beautiful grounds. Breakfast was only ok. Not many choices . Disappointed . Other hotels we stayed at throughout Italy ALWAYS gave you free bottled water. And more than one if you wanted. This hotel does not which is ridiculous during the hot weather.
Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and a very nice breakfast including a cappuccino with non dairy milk which I really appreciated! Extremely clean, quiet and comfortable.
The Hotel De La Ville Avellino is a good choice if staying in Avellino. A 15 minute walk from Hotel thru the main street and square is easy, with many restaurant choices. Rooms clean, beds firm/ comfortable, bathroom updated -- all workable and fine. AirCond is so-so, but can open windows in cool evenings. Front desk staff very helpful and responsive

Hotel service was excellent, very clean, pool was beautiful and very cold. The smell of smoking throughout was a little off-putting and the hotel itself is a little outdated. But overall a pleasant stay in Avellino and would stay again!
The staff were extremely helpful; attempting to answer our questions and offer us suggestions despite us knowing very little Italian.
Giuseppe, the chef and waiter (a man of many hats), charmingly doted on us by regularly bringing us drinks as we sat in the garden and providing us with excellent, on-the-house, culinary creations alongside our meals.
The pool was also beautiful and cold, exactly what was needed during the hot summer days.
AC did not work. After complaining several times, staff insisted that the AC worked. They even came to the room to verifiy and said it was working but hot air was comming out. We had to sleep with the windows open and had to listen to the cars drive by and dogs bark all night.
Shoutout to Giuseppe at the restaurant, he made our stay enjoyable.
Just an overnight stop with a late arrival and it worked very well. We were greeted warmly, able to get a late but very good evening meal, clean and comfortable room, and breakfast the following morning. It was very quiet in the hotel but staff were friendly and attentive all the way through.
Perfecto
The hotel is very modern, spacious, clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful, outdoor seating, palm trees, and a pool. Cappuccinos, lattes, and espresso absolutely delicious. My family and I stayed in a quadruple room, two twin beds on one section, and a king bed in the other, separated by a door. The bathroom very clean, and offers towels, bathrobes, slippers, and all toiletries.
We would definitely recommend this hotel!

It is impossible to figure out how to operate the shower. You need an engineering degree to operate it, or perhaps the temperature mixing valve does not work properly. I was able to get only scalding hot water in the shower no matter how I turned any of the valves. Also, you cannot adjust the temperature in he room. The thermostat does nothing. The best you can describe is to open a window. The television is not a smart television. Finally, the hotel needs better signage to locate the breakfast.
Overall stay VGood - breakfast needs som attention
We stayed as a family of 6 with 2 superior rooms (602 & 402) and 1 Standard room (514) for 4 nights from 13/5 - 17/5). Rooms were excellent and suited all our needs, very comfy beds and excellent facilities in the bathroom with robes and slippers. Overall, our stay was very go
We used the bar in the evening and were served excellently by Carlo and Maurizio. Carlo was extremely professional, helpful and very customer focussed.
Our one criticism would be of the breakfast. The breakfast is served daily from 7 am - 9.30 am. We arrived at breakfast daily at 8.30am to find that the scrambled egg was finished, there were no more boiled eggs and there was hardly any fresh cut fruit left.
Carlo was on breakfast on the Sunday 14/5 and replenished the scrambled egg immediately. However for the next three days I had to constantly ask for items to be replenished. I spoke with Paola who did arrange for additional boiled eggs to be made for us. I mentioned to her that I wouldn't expect at 8.45am (with 45 ins left for breakfast service) to not have any fresh cut fruit (melon, pineapple) is unacceptable. She said that others had taken it, however as we were in plenty of time I expected the melon to be replenished. I had to ask for cups to be replenished and the hot water urn to be filled up again. For 25 Euros a head I think the breakfast is poor.
We would still return to the Hotel de la Ville and it was a pleasure to see Rosella again and have her remember us from 11 years ago.
