This was our first time visiting Avila Beach and I'm so glad I chose Avila La Fonda. The location was perfect. The room was comfy. The treats in the room, the food served at various times, and of course the amazing pie, really added to our experience! The pantry was an awesome feature too! Avila Beach was the perfect location for exploring different areas of the central coast during our trip since we headed both north to Morro Bay and South to Pismo to explore those areas in addition to enjoying the quaint town of Avila Beach. The hotel decor and atmosphere was perfect and the staff were incredibly nice.

Exceptional location in Avila Beach with easy access to Alapay tasting room, Peloton tasting room and Avila Wine and Roasting tastings. The property itself is very hospitable with a common room set up to accommodate morning croissants and coffee, afternoon chips and salsa, a wine-centered happy hour in the late afternoon and pie and/or cookies at 8pm. It is much more geared towards older adults and we very much appreciated that maturity, quiet, and slower-paced energy.

The Avila La Fonda far exceeded our expectations!!! I rarely write reviews, but was compelled to write this one because I have been very disappointed in a number of our accommodations, even after reading numerous reviews before choosing a property. I was therefore a little skeptical about the Avila La Fonda. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was wonderful, the amenities outstanding, and the staff was very accommodating and efficient.

So many little touches not found in other hotels - complimentary snacks and water in the room, heated towel warmer, ceiling fan… not to mention all the extra little receptions - wine and cheese at 6pm, pie at 8pm, and to do for croissants for breakfast. Didn’t even need to leave the hotel to find food! Will definitely go back.
