"We cannot praise this establishment enough for the amazing customer service we received! Upon arrival we asked if we could have an early check in, I knew it was after Labor Day and things may be slower, so I figured I’d ask. Lydia at the front desk was so accommodating, she reassured me my request can definitely be met. So she gave me our parking pass around 11:30am and told us she would call us as soon as a room was available. We got a call around 1:00pm that the room was available & once I went to retrieve the hotel key card Lydia informed me she helped me sign up for the Holiday Inn rewards system and our early check in fee was waved, along with late check out now that we are members. There was a second wonderful staff member I want to shout out but I can’t remember her name, there was a lot of staff with the letter “L” as their first name. But honestly ALL the staff from front desk, to waitresses at Hemingway’s, and housekeepers, were so polite and always smiling. Very helpful and genuine. Our room was clean, ocean view was great, location is amazing, food at Hemingways was good, very family friendly! I’ve stayed at the other Holiday Inn location not far from this one in VA beach, and both are amazing. This one stands out with exceptional customer service! Beach was right out the back door, with outside shower to rinse off. The only thing I think could be worked on is the smell of the bathroom in our room (610) This is the hotel we will now use every visit to VA beach!! 🙏"
