"Loved how peaceful the property was. Loved the cozyness of the hotel and the old charm. We brought our pups and the grounds were well maintained and perfect to walk the pups around. We were able to stroll over to the winery for a free tasting. Breakfast was decent and the staff was very friendly. It was just what we were looking for for our short weekend getaway! "

"We enjoyed our night’s stay at this property and felt safe. However, the door to room 312 was not tightened properly. We used the upper latch to help secure it even more. Hot breakfast was decent, typical continental style…eggs, sausage, waffles, bread to toast, packets of hot cereal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. No complaints. The attendant was kind and friendly. Overall, we would return to the property. It’s accessible to nearby restaurants, shops, and the Newport News/Williamsburg...

"This property was beautiful. The restaurant there was amazing and customer service was top tier. Hats off to the chefs. They definitely cooked that food with love. I went during some events they were throwing there because it’s also an event space. Even though they had the music going it wasn’t to loud. I still enjoyed my room very much. Would definitely stay here again. "

"We were in town to drop of our niece to college. The staff was amazing and so sweet to our whole family. My 15 month son loved waving hi to everyone and pushing the button for the elevator. Our room was spacious, clean and relatively safe for our little kiddo. We will stay here again when visiting our niece at college. "
