"The staff was great and the rooms were nice! We had the rooftop pool with our room which had an amazing view!
The first two days in our room, the AC was not functioning properly and had to call multiple times to get repaired before requesting to move to another room.
The food was very good! The main restaurant changed the menu every night which was nice. The other restaurants at this restaurant were outdoors, which is tough during the hot and humid times in Mexico. The other restaurants are at the sister resort that you need reservations for a couple for if you are staying at marival distinct, but the other resort does not and they have priority.
We made a reservation for an evening at the sister resort and we were told 6pm was the only opening and we were the only ones in the restaurant for the first 30 minutes, so not sure why that was given to us as our only option.
Also, room service was included, but they do charge 10% for delivery fees for your orders. It’s typically only a couple of dollars, but found that out at check in.
All of the night activities were at the sister resort as well.
The sister resort also had more pool activities and the water slide for kids.
All in all it was a nice resort, but I felt like the food options and activities were limited if you were staying at the distinct resort and there were more options at the sister resort right down the road."
