Good quality hotel, room nice. Staff, not so much. Got the job done but with no warmth, graciousness or attempt to make our stay enjoyable. Perhaps it was because I’m just back from America but I find the standards of UK hospitality are slipping dreadfully. And this was very clear at this hotel.

Didn't stay to look. Found another hotel and left. Soooo disappointing. I will be applying for a refund. Aircon that doesn't heat? What a joke!

Location close to family in Royston so didn’t visit Baldock

Its ok if you have a car, Henlow nearby 10/15min drive has a couple of lovely larger pubs, although The Jester has a bar itself and a lovely garden if you do not want to go out. There are a couple of pubs about 10mins walk away.

This little hotel could be so so much better if some money was spent on it , a massive refurbishment is needed in the bedrooms, but you can tell the staff (especially Graham) all love working there & are very loyal as too are the customers
