I spoke to the owner by phone who apologized and said he would find us an alternative place to stay at no charge. 10 minutes later he phoned back to say no where else was available and that if we agreed, our children could sleep on mattresses on the...

"This place is all about views! In SL you always have a great eating experience and this place is no exception. It is the pool that I liked most! Best place to get lost and be romantic."

The Cubes Ella

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely hotel with great staff and a beautiful location. The breakfast was excellent - possibly the best chicken curry I’ve had in Sri Lanka. The only downside is that is quite far from the centre of Ella - and getting a Tuk-Tuk through PickMe was almost impossible - meaning I had to pay at least twice as much to flag one down."

Serenus Boutique Villa

"TOP LAGE! TOLLE Aussicht und die Wanderung um See bittet sich grad sehr an! Sehr erholsam Feines Frühstück"

The Golden Ridge Hotel

98 Acres Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Amazing place. Can’t fault a single thing. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was amazing. Staffs are very polite and helpful. Always ready to help with a buggy. Spa was amazing in a very scenic set up. Secluded yet just a few mins drive to main city centre. Pool area is nice but the pool is rather small. Breakfast is very good, made to order. Complimentary guided trek to little Adams peak just behind the resort. They gave discount vouchers for Ravana pool club and zip lining but we didn’t have time to try. Overall fully recommend."

Misty Hills Ella Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Staff were incredibly helpful warm and welcoming. The views were amazing from our room; from welcome area and pool area. Definitely recommend this place. The room was spacious and clean. Location was 1 km from ella so approx 500 SR to get to town (uphill!) but an easy walk ( downhill ) to get back !!"
