Very beautiful place, cozy and a bit "vintage". Garden is beautiful, with the pool and the church just above. Very enjoyable experience! Service and breakfast are excellent too!

A night in the Portuguese country

It's a very rustic and beautiful family country house. Great for a different and typically Portuguese experience. We went for dinner at taberna do Afonso, a local place nearby that serves an incredible cod fish (bacalhau).

Um lugar especial. Local calmo, muito bom para quem quer descansar. Hotel fica na sede de uma antiga Quinta. Ambiente histórico e trataram-nos como uma família. Recomendo. Fiz uma reclamação no check in, pela falta de ar. A noite compreendi. O ar refrigerado é proporcionado pela natureza. Uma dádiva. Noite de sono tranquila.

Portuguese hospitality

This is another gorgeous Portuguese farm house run by a real host. The room was quaint, old but functional and we were thoughtfully give one away from a tour group of pilgrims. Dinner was simple and tasteful. When the host found out we were both lactose intolerant he sourced special yoghurt for breakfast. This is a special place where you could easily lose yourself for a week or more.....
