The staff were helpful in storing our bags before and after check-in. The hotel condition and amenities were brand new (renovations were currently being conducted throughout the entire building). The size of our room was huge and had everything we needed including an office desk. The bathroom was quite big too. The bed was big and super comfortable too. The hotel is right next to the train station and a walkable distance to the town square. Would stay again and recommend again.

Good location

The location next to train station is excellent, rooms are modern and comfortable bed. What draws down the rating is the fact that I heard the neighbour talking loud in the phone for hours as if she was in my room in the evening when I really needed to sleep. As no carpets in the corridor the echo was disturbing.

The staff are excellent from the front desk to breakfast room to house-keeping. My room was 15 meters from the train station and I could hear announcements and obviously, trains. However, with the windows and doors closed, it was surprisingly quiet.

Had a pleasant stay the the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. My room was spacious but the view wasn’t really great. Breakfast costs 15€ and you get a good selection. I would come back anytime.

The hotel is next to the station where there are also good bus connections, this perfect if you plan to use public transport althouth the town centre is easy walkable, just 10 minutes away. The hotel does have some parking spaces at 10€ - 15€ per night. The breakfast at €15 is very reasonable and there are plenty of options. Great stay at Hotel Bayerischer Hof, would definitely stay here again.

Updated hotel, but needs working AC

Enjoyed our stay in Bayreuth and the Bayerischer is an updated hotel in a pretty good location. Only issue we had was the AC continue to turn off after 1 hour so in the middle of the night we would have to get up and turn on (over and over). We talked with the manager but they said "it is what it is" basically. The location is right next to the train station (good and bad location). Really loud when having to sleep with the windows open because of the AC issues but convenient for train travelers. The hotel is about a quarter mile from the city center area of activity, so not super far, but it does take some walking to get to that area of activity. Hotel has been updated and was nicely done. Largest rooms we had while in Germany. I would recommend except for the AC issue during a hot summer in Germany. Otherwise would give a solid rating to this hotel.

Ein einmaliges Erlebnis... Wird sicher kein zweites Mal für uns in Frage kommen. Das Zimmer war (für übrigens über 20 Gäste an diesem Tag) erst eine Stunde später verfügbar. Personalproblem im Reinigungsteam, was ja durchaus einmal vorkommen kann, aber: Das reine Chaos, keine Kommunikation zwischen Reinigungsservice und Rezeption, nur sporadisch via Mobiltelefon. Es wurde den zahlreichen wartenden Gästen nicht einmal ein Kaffee angeboten während der Wartezeit, geschweige denn eine kleine Kompensation (Frühstücksgutschein, Parken kostenlos etc.). Man hätte die Zimmer in der Reihenfolge des Eintreffens der Gäste reinigen können, oder die größten / teuersten Zimmer zuerst (die kamen zuletzt dran...), wenn man einen Plan gehabt hätte. Vorab Reservierung von Parkplätzen hatte bei uns und bei diversen anderen Gästen der "Wartrunde" nicht funktioniert. Außerhalb der Peak Zeiten (Wochenende, Abends und nachts) sitzen Aushilfen an der Rezeption, was leider sehr spürbar ist. Die Reinigungskräfte machen einen guten Job im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten unter den Rahmenbedingungen, fast alle Mitarbeiter des Personals waren freundlich.

Dieses Hotel ist eine ausgezeichnete Wahl für Festspielgäste, da es sehr zentral gelegen ist. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns das große und geräumige Zimmer. Das Spa ist zweckmäßig und bietet gute Erholung. Die Parksituation auf den Hotelparkplätzen ist gut und nah. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt, obwohl das Hotel etwas hellhörig ist, was für uns aber kein Problem darstellte. Die grundlegende Ausstattung mit Nespresso-Maschine und Wasser war ideal und hat uns positiv überrascht.

Leider war das Zimmer direkt mit blick auf die Gleise vom Bahnhof. Das Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen und die Klimaanlage ist genau über dem bett. Als Antwort auf win anderes Zimmer war die Antwort. Sie zahlen ja nicht mehr und dann ist es halt dieses Zimmer. Einfach nicht zu empfehlen.
