"Well-designed hotel with a lovely interior throughout. The location is excellent too – it’s on a new development just outside the city centre, and hopping on a Voi scooter into town was quick, easy and quite possibly the most fun I’ve had obeying traffic laws. The bedrooms are also great, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and overall it’s a place I’d happily stay again.
However… there is one issue. The bar staff called time at 10:30pm.
10:30pm.
On.
A.
Saturday...
I wasn’t asking them to recreate Ibiza in 1999. I simply thought a second pint while watching the World Cup on a warm summer evening in the lovely outdoor seating area wasn’t an outrageous request. Perhaps I’m showing my age, but I’d always considered 10:30pm to be the point where an evening begins to gather momentum. Everything else was superb. Just don’t expect the nightlife to extend beyond the end of The One Show."
"Well soundproofed hotel with comfortable beds at Luton, good for an impromptu overnight stay.
Food and breakfast is well below average for its pricepoint, would recommend to walk over to the terminal to get a better coffee and grub. The lobby and restaurant are airconditioned, the rooms are vented but NOT air conditioned. Staff is very helpfull and friendly."
"The staff were so kind and helpful when I arrived, and helped me with my luggage and suggestions for how to get to the city center. The hotel was clean, cool, and quiet, exactly what I needed. It was so easy to get there from the station, too. The cafe was great for snacks and drinks, and local amenities were perfect for light meals. The only down side was they had run out of ice and it was very hot, so ice would have been nice. I will certainly use this hotel again."
"The room was excellent, the staff were friendly and very helpful, the shop was a little expensive but nothing you wouldn't expect from a hotel and the selection of goodies was just right. Breakfast was delicious and the location perfect! Just wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely be going back! The only thing to mention is to be warned of ridiculous parking costs! Nothing to do with the hotel as car park was managed separately, but we parked for just under 24 hours and it was £53! Highly recommend the Wilde 👍"
"Mitchell Hall never disappoints. Excellent value, brilliant staff and quite simply the best buffet breakfast you will find anywhere. Perfectly cooked food, served hot, and hot plates available. Excellent choice and high quality."
