Charged for an extra night

The hotel itself was great, unfortunately they charged me an extra night for two rooms on top of the cost of the full stay. I contacted Hotels.com twice before our stay and they said the hotel would be taking one of the nights off when we got there as this extra night was never a part of the reservation. The hotel did not do this and said we wouId receive a refund on our credit card. I'm still waiting for the refund a week and a half later and dealing with Hotels.com. I don't think Hotels.com should have this hotel listed with them, or should be very clear you will be charged an additional night for all rooms booked.
