"I was blown away by how much I enjoyed my stay. I chose Historic Beaver Mill Inn because it was the least expensive room in the area. I was there three days while my son hiked a section of the nearby Appalachian Trail. The 12 rooms in the Inn are newly built in a small part of the overall historic mill building. The rest of the building is made up of artist studios. The largest studio is the 50,000 square foot studio of the owner, Eric Rudd. Eric gave me an hour-long tour of his studio...

"The hotel recently changed hands and the new owners weren't completely prepared for guests. It's advertised as a B&B, which implies breakfast is included in the cost, but it was not. Having said that, the breakfast was excellent and really delicious. Highly recommend. Housekeeping did not refill the provided shampoo, body wash or conditioner when they cleaned the room. Our room was at basement level but received lots of light; however, we could hear footsteps of everyone walking in the common...

"wonderfully restored old mansion. Rooms were charming... nicely designed. In fact the entire facility has been thoughtfully brought into today's design standards. Very accomodating staff... although many appeared to be a training mode. Need to improve the professionalism a bit. They have a new general manager (had only been there about 2 weeks when we visited)... seems he has a number of things on his agenda that will improve the property even more. Food was good... but not wonderful. ...
