Everything about the hotel was good besides the wifi. The wifi did not work in my room which is not a deal breaker but extremely annoying. Location is nice as it’s a short walk away from the train station, but the community around it feels a little sketchy.

Our stay here was lovely and seamless. We enjoyed it very much. It felt so safe, the man at the front desk was so lovely and always kind and helpful. Everything was clean and well kept. Great room, great everything.

The property was quiet, nearby shops, restaurants, and great transport links. The bed was very comfy, with clean bedsheets and towels provided. The shower door didn't close, also the walls had lits of stains and marks, lick of fresh paint would make the property look perfect.

This property is quiet and safe. The woman at the reception wasn’t helpful. My credit card was charged twice by mistake. The bathroom was very dirty. We has to ask for the bed that was missing.

Everything in the room was fine. I didn't give a 5-star rating due to the very poor wi-fi connection. I had to log-in every morning and often I either couldn't connect at all or it would take me several tries before I was able to access the Internet. And even when I did have access, the connection was weak.

Great breakfast and housekeeping was on top of all! Liked having parking available although car not needed since s and ubahn connection excellent. Big shopping center across the hotel and apartments. Would stay here again :)

Good location

Great location near the S-bahn, nice sized rooms, good hot shower and comfy beds. Plenty of cupboard space, friendly staff and there was a safe in the room which was useful. Only slight issue was that we couldnt get the air con to work and it was pretty hot throughout the night, but the windows opened for a breeze at least.

This hotel was in a great location, super accessible by public transit. The room overall was bare and kind of dimly lit, but had a LOT of space. The kitchenette had a sink and fridge.

A great ApartHotel

A neat apartment Hotel approximately 6km from Brandenburg gate. Car parking available at the property for EUR 18 per day. There is a kettle in the apartment but no kitchen/cooking which wasn’t a concern for us. There are lots of eateries close by and Uber costs around EUR 12-15 (non peak hours) to get to main attraction centres. I would stay here again.

Apartment with a lot of space, easy to get to and from! Next to train station that will take you to the airport in 30 minutes. Highly recommended if you want something with good space and do not feel that you need to be in the heart of Berlin. Time to the heart of Berlin is 5 min with train, 1 station.

The only thing a huge let down is their terrible wifi connection and as an outsider you need it all the time. Otherwise room was good and spacious, staff were ok and the breakfast was great! There is a huge train station near by - Berlin Gesundbrunnen - and a huge mall surrounding it. Very well connected to Alexanderplatz, heart of Berlin from where you can go to almost all points of interest. Recommend. Will stay again provided they improve the wifi.

Good location with bad experience.

While the location is convenient, my rating is low because of multiple issues. Unfriendly staff, kitchen with no facilities unless you pay an extra charge every day which was not affordable for me. Vegetarians may find breakfast options unsatisfying and overpriced. Sitting areas have dirty and sticky floors. English-speaking staff are scarce. However, the hotel's proximity to public transportation, restaurants, and a budget-friendly shopping mall are positives.

The picture of the room is very decisive. Basic room which apparently is a apartment!! with poor quality bedding. Building work outside the room starting 07:30/08:00. The area surrounding the hotel is rather run down and not a place you would want to go out for a meal or a drink. The only positive thing is that you don't want to spend any time in or near the hotel making you want to explore the wonderful sites and areas of Berlin.The train station is only a couple of minutes walk so you can escape quickly.

Good location for transport links

The accommodation was good for what we needed - excellent location for transport links, station is 3 min walk. Shopping centre across the road to buy food/drink. Bed and sofa bed were comfy, the apartment was a good size. Housekeeping came everyday and provided clean towels. Shower was good - powerful and a good temperature. Reception staff were helpful and polite at check in. The only slight negative was that there is no cutlery/bowls/plates provided with the apartment. Essentially the apartment element of the room is just lots of cupboards, a fridge and a kettle. There are 2 cups and glasses provided but that is all. Not a massive issue but similar properties I have stayed in have provided cutlery and bowls/plates.

2 hotel male staffs went up to my room around 6 pm and opened my hotel door when i failed to respond to the reception call and the knocking on my door. Without permission, consent, and authorization, using their hotel access keys, they opened my door alleging my inability to pick up the telephone as the cause of their intrusion. It was 6:00 pm, and I was in the bathroom. They could not even wait until the next morning to discuss whatever it was they needed from me, a guest who is booked for 9 days in their hotel. Where is the guest's right to privacy? During a guest's tenancy, employees are not authorized to enter the room except for routine or requested cleaning and maintenance. Ocak Hotel has violated my right to privacy and endangered my security. Such a sad experience that you were more safe walking in the streets of beautiful Berlin than in the supposed to be comfort of your hotel room.

The property is lacking in upkeep and the cleaning standards are low. My room was clean, but there was no shower door at all, it had obviously been broke in the past and never replaced. I’d have a huge puddle of water on the floor every time I showered. The halls and elevators were dirty and needed daily cleaning. The lighting in the halls which is motion sensored is probably energy saving, but it makes it very creepy walking off an elevator into a dark hall, especially at night. The hotel is in a great location for someone spending their time exploring Berlin. Public transportation connections are within walking distance, less than a quarter mile. The mall across the street has dining and shopping options, it also has a nice Rewe grocery store on the upper level. There were no English speaking television channels to chooses from. I had visited Belgium and the Netherlands in the days prior to. Visiting this hotel and was surprised to not have a few BBC or other satellite channels from England in the channel mix. When I come back to Berlin I won’t be back to this hotel. I’ll find a different place to stay.

Practical location. Disappointing inventory.

Practical location very close to international trainstation Gesundbrunnen. Disappointed over inventory. We were 4 people, but only had 2 cups, 2 glases and 3 chairs. There is very much space in wardrobe and kitchen. But wardrobe had zero hangers. Kitchen had zero cutlery, only waterboiler. There is nothing to cook in or on. If you want microwave or anything else you must pay extra. Very small fridge in the size of minibar. Did not match rest of kitchen. Clean and tidy. Friendy reseption in hotelbuilding. Easy checkout.
