"The Chateau is very charming and quaint. The rooms don’t offer air conditioning but they provided fans. Initially the fan we had was blowing heat and the staff couldn’t locate a different one for us so we saw them assembling something at registration and when we returned to our room later there was a brand new, better fan waiting for us. "I understand the language issues, but when we checked in I was trying to say that we were very thirsty and was there a place to get drinks. I finally understood that there were water bottles and a water spigot nearby. But there was also a refrigerator close that I discovered later which is what I really was asking about. The room was very clean in general, but the couch had several visible stains. I mean, like very visible stains...... For the price paid, I would have expected a clean...

"I would have liked to know that the safes in the rooms were not in working order. That was frustrating. The only other complaint was the lack of electrical outlets in the room. Other than that, the hotel, staff, grounds, and staff were lovely. "
