"One of the most charming places my friend and I stayed on our trip in March! Rooms are beautifully designed and clean. The rooftop is lovely and has a nice view, and the breakfast was delicious. We had dinner elsewhere but at night the rooftop is hopping! Owners were so sweet and accommodating. A highlight of our stay!"

The bathroom was the wirst part where the showers were not functioning properly. Food was bad and had only very limited menu. Property is not value for money. "This hotel was incredible. The room was a comfortable size, beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfy. They decorated it in rose petals and balloons for my birthday as a driving surprise ( after my partner asked them) The outside of the building was so intricately decorated in carved sandstone. The pool was refreshing and a most welcome pleasure. Views of the huge fort looming above, while we are in the restaurant, were like something from a movie. The boys in the upstairs...

"The Marina Mahal is a great value option close to the centre of Jaisalmer. Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. Highly recommended!"

    "Excellent location at the heart of town. Very clean and well maintained facility built with stone, similar to what the kings of the bygone era would do. This property is accessible by car unlike many old havelis around the town. Vie from the hotel room of the Golden Fort was mesmerizing and you can have the view from their rooftop dining too. They have tours to deserts and other locations that are safe and family friendly. I would come back to this special Fort Hotel if there's an opportunity in the horizon."
