"The Marina Mahal is a great value option close to the centre of Jaisalmer. Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. Highly recommended!"

"The staff here are amazing. Nice enough to send someone to the train station at 4 am to pick me up and give me a room to nap for a bit even before my official check in time. Restaurant is nice too with incredible views of the fort. "

"The hotel has been open for +10 years and is currently expanding. The design of the hotel is on three levels, with quiet, shady, cool corners as well as sunny rooftop dinning areas. The dining areas have great views of the Jaisalmer Fort, which is a located two hundred metres away. The craftsmanship of the lobby and rooms is excellent. Following the style of the historic Havelis in the area and made with stone and intricate woodworking. Best of all was the Hotel Manager, called Khan. He made...

"Loved my stay at here—completely overdelivered for the price. New property, beautifully maintained. Fantastic location, a 5 minute walk from the fort entrance. Gorgeous rooftop area with the best views in town. Lovely, attentive staff. Helped me upgrade easily when a room became available. They don’t have a traditional restaurant, but the food they had was very good. Only quibble was that the pool wasn’t quite clean enough to swim in. Otherwise, great stay."
