Novotel Köln City
Lovely clean comfy room. Easy 30 min walk along the river to the hotel from central station. I slept so well, I didn't have time to have the included breakfast. Staff on reception at check in very welcoming and I was able to check in a little early which was great.

Adina Apartment Hotel Dusseldorf
Used this hotel for several years for the boat show, sadly this year the pool was out of order, had to move rooms due to the extreme heating and there was no bar food served in the evening.
