My room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Electrical connection points were dismal. There were two 110vac outlets located on the nightstand between the beds that had no physical resistance at all when you plugged something into it. I could not get my phone charger block powered unless I moved it a certain way in either one of the outlets. There was no convenient plug on the table located in the room. None of them allowed a USB charge connection. Totally inadequate for this day and age. Definitely could use an update in this area. Sitting on the toilet felt like sitting on the floor it was so low. The bathtub was dirty looking where you would stand to shower or sit if you were bathing. Several repairs were evident to the shower enclosure which was also pulling away from the wall. This was rated 8.4 on Expedia alongside "Very Good". It was fair. Price was lower than anything else rated that high so that's why I booked it. Breakfast was the usual fare with scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon and grits choices. Bacon was cooked limp (which I do not care for), scrambled eggs were grainy looking with what looked like a lot of butter floating in them. Most likely out of a box. Wasn't appetizing for me so opted for yogurt and coffee and small poppy seed muffin. The only staff interaction was with the desk clerk at checkin. He was pleasant and accomadating.

I want to submit this review in two parts. First the good. The staff was great. The breakfast hit the spot. The mattresses were firm and room warm. On the negative side. the wall paper in the hall was peeling. I know that the said that renovation was occurring with the new ownership, but you have to keep up with the current building. There was a burn mark in the drape. The toilet paper holder had seen better decades, and the tub was stained. So, I think things will improve, but that will be then and not now.
