Hellbenders - great biscuit sandwiches and smoothies for breakfast. Storie Street Grille - good food. Kilwins - love their ice-cream. Many great places to hike near town or within hr drive - Linville Falls, Crab Orchard Falls.

This is the cutest town. It's great for families - check out the amazing park and clean bathroom facilities next to town hall. And it's a great town for a romantic getaway.

A cute little town that made you feel like you are in a Hallmark movie. It is within driving distance to skiing at Appalachian, Sugar, and Beech.

This town is so fun! The art museum is one of my faves. Love walking around & shopping. And a meal at The Speckled Trout is a must!

If you are traveling with children, the Blowing Rock town park has a big playground, also plenty of benches for all ages to sit and enjoy the weather. Staying in the historic area allows walking rather than trying to find parking.

Lots of outdoor activities! mostly white..like 94% if I remember the census correctly. So no diversity and not the most welcoming community. But there's plenty to do so don't let that deter you. Lots of brewery options and very pet friendly area!

Loved the town. The blowing rock itself was underwhelming, although the folks at the facility were great.
