"We were tired of being around all the tourists and wanted something that said “Welcome to Colorado”. This was the place. We received emails from the resort with detailed directions on driving and registration that were easy to follow. The five mile drive up the gravel road took a little longer than expected because a flock of sheep that decided they needed to cross the road in front of us! "Although the rooms could use remodeling, it was quite a large room, which I appreciated. Table and desk. There were sufficient outlets, ironing board, microwave, and fridge. The windows had screens and we enjoyed the air flow. Our favorite feature was the firepit area with rocking chairs. This would be a great place to stay if you have multiple families. The parking was ample. The staff was friendly and informative. We didn't stay for breakfast opting to get on the road early. I did...

"The cleaning crew did a great job--our room was always clean and neat. The check in person was disrespectful and short tempered with the female person when we checked in. However, the front desk person was polite and courteous to the male person in the party upon check out. BTW the female person was the person who paid for the room. Breakfast was adequate but simple. The walls are thinning and you could hear other patrons most of the time in our room."

"Area was quiet and safe. Bed was comfortable. Staff was not very friendly. It was a bit run down and decor was very out dated. Lots of towels provided, but they were very thin. Price was a bit high for a motel. "

"I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago, in the exact same room. Not much had changed, except owners. Great location if you have a dog with you as you are only a block from Pioneer Park and quiet neighborhoods. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. The only complaint was the condition of the tub. It was not very clean; the bathroom was overall clean, good towels, but I'm a stickler for a clean showering area. Maybe the tub needs to be reglazed. Very reasonable price."
