"Absolutely beautiful room, pool and view. Great sunset watching from the pool, saw Myna birds, a kingfisher, swallows, sunbirds and at dusk beautiful fruit bats all from our private pool terrace. The room was so peaceful, the plunge pool was a decent size and beautifully clean. The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. We hired the hotel's scooter and side car for a couple of days and were able to tour the island and take in the sights as well as travelling at night to go to a nearby restaturant. The whole island is fabulous for scenery, lovely friendly local people. There were other tourists but not at all crowded and all of the beaches were pretty quiet - albeit we were there at peak season. Boat trips and excursions were available to book from the hotel or there were roadside huts that you could book from. We had a private long boat four island tour booked from the hotel which was good value, we had a great day with snorkeling and lunch included. Purana is on the West coast which is a quieter area and you need transport to get around to explore (unless you're happy to walk a way in the heat). They also hire out mountain bikes and normal scooters from the hotel"

"I booked a last minute one-night tent stay. Tent had a comfy bed with clean sheets. Shared bathroom was very basic but clean enough. The ladies and men running the place were so sweet and took great care of me. They customized delicious vegetarian meals. I also had a great massage. Most importantly to me, the setting was spectacular. Beautiful, quiet beach, I think the best in the island, still very swimmable at low tide: "

"We spent a week at Paradise Koh Yao at the end of January 2026. Initially, we were assigned bungalow 211, very close to the pool, but with so many children playing there, it was difficult to rest. Therefore, we asked to change and were moved to bungalow 221, which was much better. Both rooms were in excellent condition, spacious, and with all the amenities. The hornbill,what a bird, they are incredible,surely the stars of the show. The hotel food is very good, and the restaurant atmosphere is very pleasant, especially on the sand at night. However, the service is sometimes a bit slow, seemingly due to the kitchen.One day we ordered a room service and food came in layer lunch box,something unacceptable in a 4 star property . They frequently organize good barbecues with pleasant live music. The beach is good at high tide; otherwise, swimming is impossible. Breakfast is just ok but not spectacular; perhaps it's too strict with nothing else available besides the buffet, such as a smoothie. I made a mistake in my reservation by adding an extra night, but the management very kindly refunded me in the form of a resort credit. The noisy construction of more bungalows during peak holiday season is deeply reprehensible, regardless of the comfort of guests. Loud hammering and drilling could be heard in our room, sometimes even after 7 pm. I don't want to imagine what it was like in the rooms on the hill next to the construction site,truly disrespectful"
