Great place with a nice view

Great location by the river and Hung is very nice and friendly. Bicycles are sadly not available any more (broke), but can be rented cheap in town. Breakfast was included and just fine! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Phong Nha.

Such a gem

A beautiful homestay with very nice owners. Such a host to stay with! They helped us to book Phong Nha National Cave tour with english speaking guide. It was the most fantastisc time we ever had.

Hôtel avec très belle vue et ambiance familiale

Attention, cette critique est pour le Coco Riverside. En effet, à notre arrivée au Coco House , il y a eu un petit flottement... Après une dizaine de minutes d'attentes un peu gênées, une personne est arrivée pour nous dire que nous étions transférés au Riverside, à quelques dizaines de mètres de là. Cela aurait pu être ennuyeux avec tous nos bagages mais notre chauffeur étant encore là, cela a été une question de 2 minutes. Le Riverside (même famille propriétaire apparemment) est flambant neuf. Nous avons eu une chambre avec vue rivière, ce que nous souhaitions, et nos filles une chambre dans la bâtiment principal, vue sur la rue. Mais elles ne se sont pas plaintes. Hôtel au confort basique mais plutôt propre. Vue extraordinaire sur la rivière et les montagnes karstiques qui font un peu penser à Ninh Binh. Un peu moins génial le bruit fes bateaux mais il faut savoir ce que l'on veut. Et ce n'est rien par rapport au réveil vers 4h00 du matin par des hauts parleurs qui semblaient diffuser des chants... patriotiques ? Mais à priori vous n'y échapperez pas, où que vous logiez en ville. L'hôtel n'y était pour rien. Mais ce que nous retiendrons surtout, c'est la gentillesse de la famille qui s'en occupe. Aux petits soins avec ses hôtes. Un grand merci à Thao qui était toujours dispo et qui m'a souvent fait rire. Mon Vietnamien n'aura pas pour autant progressé... On se sentait bien.

Unethical business practice

Both Hotels.com and this guesthouse failed me. Booked this place based on reviews and pictures. When I contacted the business via Facebook Messenger, an employee stated that my room wasn't available and I would have to stay at his house. This was unacceptable and not what I paid for. At no point did the business try to contact me regarding this unapproved change nor did I agree to this. The business refused to refund my money and as a Gold Member, Hotels.com failed to issue a refund and gave me a small amount of credit for future use. Unbelievable.

Amazing view

The hotel has a amazing view.the breakfast was basic.the owner "hero" provided a good service. However, the tour he booked for us was a ripoff. It cost 2millions vd.p.p for a day of trekking and visiting heng tien cave.there were nothing special nor memorable about the tour, we end up coming back to our hotel almost 2hour before the itinerary. So, becarefor before you booking any tour with them.
