Wow, this hotel MORE than delivered. We were delighted beyond our expectations by the beauty of the setting, the comfort, the generous and healthy breakfast, and most of all the warm welcome from fascinating and kind hosts. We will return!
We had a great stay at this lovely Chateaux situated next to the Dordogne River. It was well located for our visits to the right bank and left bank wine tours, as well as Bordeaux. Lots of good restaurants within a 15 -20 min drive from the property
Great family-run chateau in an incredible location. The food and wine was excellent, all served personally by the owners and a small team. You can feel their passion for wine-making. The hosts where quick to accomodate changes that made our stay ideal.
It was a fantastic and stay, in front of the big river, among the countryside... A very big and comfortable room, with original old furniture, and a brand new bathroom. The breakfast was excellent: a great experience! Thanks for your hospitality...
Truly beautiful location on the banks of the Dordogne in a small vineyard. We stayed here by chance as part of a longer road trip. We wouldn’t consider ourselves wine lovers but the free wine tasting session was really informative and completely changed our outlook on wine. The hotel accommodation was of excellent standard and the hosts were very friendly. They also make excellent and very reasonably priced wines.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The whole building had a cat-pee smell, maintenance team doesnt do the best job and i personally really dont like it when they give you a one person cover on a double bed (even if you are single)
Note: the restaurant only offers a quite reduced menu of tapas - breakfast very good but eggs or croissant not included
We booked at short notice, en route to the South, so did not know what to expect. Fabiene and Frederic have a small biodynamic vineyard with chambres d’otes and great food, wine tasting and genuine hospitality. The room is designed with taste, had a large bathroom and a lounge area. This is a gem of a place.
Nice and quiet chateau next to the river Dordogne. They make their own biological (demeter) wine varieties. Room was very spacious in a great old house. Superb bathroom. Simple but tasty diner options. Great atmosphere. In the immediate vicinity there is not much to do, except for a nice private garden at 3,5 km. Within easy reach from the A10.
Excellent room nice shower cosy area to make tea nice setting. Goats nearby very cute. Pool looked inviting. Wine tasting was informative and breakfast was fantastic. Hosts very friendly we bought wine we tried the local honey at breakfast very nice
We had a fantastic time at ‘The Old Chapel’. The team couldn’t have made us more welcome. We enjoyed dinner watching the sunset over the Dordogne with a superb 2019 Merlot and a fine Armagnac.
This is one of the most beautiful spots I have EVER stayed. Frederic and Raphael were INCREDIBLE hosts. We loved every moment of our time there and will be back in the future. Highly, highly recommend — whether you’re a group of friends (as we were), a family or even a couple on a romantic vacation. This place is perfect.
This hotel is fantastic, nestled right by the riverbank and just a short drive from Bordeaux. Frédéric is an outstanding host, warm, attentive, and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and entirely homemade, adding a personal touch to each morning. Our room was spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and impeccably clean. This is a truly special bed and breakfast; the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful holiday, surrounded by the natural beauty of a real vineyard château.
Fantastic stay. Love the whole feel of the chateau though it took us a while to find this place. Very serene surrounding and the owners were friendly. Will choose to stay here again when i visit Bordeaux.
Good breakfast. Lovely common living room. Bedroom advertised as "romantic", but was fat from it. Rather plain, and no soundproofing. You could hear noise in the living room all the way down the hall. Very overpriced for what you get.
The facility represents a true picture of the French countryside. Frederic and Fabainne were excellent hosts and extremely accommodating to all of our requests. The wine tasting experience was very educational and well worth the time.
Excellent stay in a more remote area outside Bordeaux. The room was very comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very well updated. The property itself is very well kept and a very interesting place to wander. They have a very friendly dog who may follow u on an evening walk!
The staff at the bed and breakfast were superb. Rafael gave wine tasting in the evening that was very much appreciated. It is a family business and clearly each member has passion for it and it clearly shows.
