"Great location, rooms size very adequate, lovely staff, clean hotel overall. Fridge in room, toiletries, coffee station topped up daily. Shower a bit small, awkward to move about/wash hair. Bed not super comfortable, but have regular back issues, so could just be me. Enjoyed the stay overall!"

"Hot water did not work, 25 in the room but no AC this time of year. Construction through the walls at 6am that woke us up 2 mornings in a row with zero heads up. Very average."

"Staff are excellent and very helpful - lovely people. Hotel is next to the Tiber and around 10-15 mins walk from nearest metro so not too bad and the area is upmarket so no problem. Only weakness was the breakfast which was a bit generic and limited in the breakfast room. I think they need a wider spread. Apart from that very nice place to stay."

"The location is fabulous, at the top of the Spanish Steps. The hotel is solid with a lot of quirky character due to its age. We stayed in the adjacent building. The room was very clean; the bathroom typical of Italy: small with a sink, toilet & bidet and a small corner shower and heated towel rack. The room heater worked well and there was a huge window opening to the busy steeet below although it was so high we couldn’t see out. Buffet breakfast was included and was plentiful and tasty with lots of choices. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The one complaint is the hotel restaurant. Prices were high (8€ beer, 12€ glass of ordinary wine, 6€ tea) compared to other cafes & restaurants in Italy. And something we’ve never encountered in Italy was the demand for a tip by the waiter. He said if we wanted to pay by credit card we must include a tip. We watched his interaction with other patrons and his less-than friendly attitude was enough to turn away future patrons. Despite the restaurant experience we would definitely stay here again. "

"Hotel Raphael is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful area of Rome. The service team at the hotel were very friendly and kind. We really enjoyed their roof top terrace which offer beautiful views of Rome. The dining options at the hotel are excellent. Their breakfast is very good and we enjoyed some of their restaurant dishes on their terrace. Overall, a wonderfully located hotel that was a pleasure to visit."

"Breakfast was excellent! Staff was top-notch. We were there in March but it was already warm. Unfortunately, the A/C wasn’t on yet, so it was a bit warm but we made it work opening the windows although that let in some noise. "
