Comfortable but bad parking situation

Only downside was the parking garage which cost $16/day and the ice machine was broken. Bed was very comfortable and staff was kind. Room was also clean and elevator was fast.

Umiqie was the location. There was no hot water. We called they said to let it run, we did. There was no hot water in a weather of 47 degrees.

Former Navy Barracks is a safe haven

The Constitution Inn is a no frills oasis in a desert of exorbitant hotel rooms. The room was clean and comfortable. This was a great place to be ready to catch an early morning flight from Logan Airport.

Amazing!!

Very comfortable and clean. Have everything you need for a short or long stay, if you want to prepare your own meals there's a fridge, microwave, stove, Kitchen cabinet ... Just bring your food and enjoy :-) Highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back!!

clerk at the desk would not let me in my room because he did not have the verification from Expedia ....made me wait over an hour... then only let me in the room if I gave him my credit card... I think I was charged twice for the room... .rude people at the desk in the evening and the next morning.. asked for manager.. he never called me

Filthy

Filthy and none of the amenities pictured were available as they belong to the attached YMCA. We missed our flight and had to book a last minute hotel. I wish I had time to read the reviews, most of them warning of the conditions of the place. The bathroom looked like it needed deep cleaning. We found what appeared to be blood on the hairdryer and walls. The bottle of lotion was opened and used. We even saw roaches when we woke up. Had I seen them that night, no way I would've stayed. There is no AC and the room looks completely depressing. The pictures were very deceiving. You must also pay for parking.

Good in the end

My reservation didn’t go thru to their system automatically- so initially front desk guy said at 10pm he couldn’t find my reservation. He took 15mins to collect his thoughts before giving me a room. The morning manager found my reservation and gave me a discount on my stay so that made up for confusion. Morning staff was very pleasant to work with.

The picture made the hotel room look newer than what it was. It didn't have all them amenities listed and there was a crack in the ceiling above the shower. The bed was clean and comfortable, good tv shows.

Keep the water hot.

It was a nice visit even though we had to change rooms due to there was no hot water in the first room because we was on the 4th floor which is still no excuse, because if you have a Hotel that have several floors all the floors need to have hot water not just the first and second floor they need to fix that if they want to have and keep good business, after we moved to the 2nd floor there were no problems the stay was enjoyable. I would recommend this Hotel.

It’s not a 5 star hotel, but it was very clean & comfortable- the price was reasonable, and it was properly sanitized during the Covid outbreak. Walking distance to a parking garage, Dunkin’, the USS Constitution & Bunker Hill Monument. It’s connected to a YMCA, gym & pool. Zero complaints.

If you are sensitive to smells, AVOID THIS PLACE! The entire facility is continuously bombed with a horrible fragrance that made me sick every time I was in the lobby or hallway. We stayed 2 nights and our room was never cleaned. They charged the wrong credit card for our reservation. There was not enough hot water to shower with. There’s no parking lot on the premises, rather a lot 7 blocks away that the hotel validates. Not ideal if you’re traveling with someone witg a knee injury, which I was. When we first got there, the room was clean, and THANKFULLY didn’t smell like the hallways and lobby smelled, otherwise I would not have been able to stay at all. The pool was closed due to covid, something I wish had been posted somewhere, because it was very disappointing to have chosen this hotel due to its location and it having a pool, and then being told it would open a few days after we checked out. The WiFi also did not work, which meant I couldn’t get work done. Besides charging the wrong card, I’ve no complaints about the staff. We are in covid after all, and they are doing the very best they can. Overall, for MY needs, this place was extremely disappointing. If you’re not allergic to air fresheners, don’t need WiFi or a pool, don’t have a car or don’t mind walking to the lot, and are able to wake up early enough to get hot water from the shower, you’ll probably think this place is not so bad.

The location of this hotel is great for exploring Boston. Also, the free Mass General shuttle is very helpful to get downtown to sightsee. The hotel room itself is very basic with no real recent upgrades. If you want hot water in your shower, you need to run the water for at least 10 - 15 minutes for it to reach your room. The overall cleanliness was acceptable. If you need an affordable hotel room where you are primarily coming back just to sleep, then this is a good choice for you.

The location was wonderful. A lot of sights and attractions are short walks. Did I mention the location was great? That was the highlight of this hotel. Very old and poorly maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful.
