Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior
6/10 Okay
"The room was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. That is the best part of this property. However, we did not care for the dingy staircase without a light. (Surprise to us we had to climb stairs to our room with our luggage). The room was in need of some updates. The shade did not work properly. There was no fan in the bathroom. The carpet was old and there was a stale smell in the hallway and room. Furniture was old and needed cleaning. The room was very close to the road and we heard traffic all night long. Didn’t care for the disjointed nature of the property. We had to drive to dinner or the (enclosed) pool/hot tub because the weather was cold, too cold to take the “boardwalk” imo, and there was snow right next to walkway/lake between sites/buildings. Might I suggest having a shuttle service between sites during cooler seasons. For the price we expected a little better. The staff was very kind and helpful! Probably will not return."

East Bay Suites
10/10 Excellent
"Cute hotel, loved our balcony and comfy bed."

Aspen Lodge
8/10 Good
"It was clean, quiet, and a great view. The girl that checked us in was very friendly and knowledgeable. The ceiling in our room you could definitely tell had leaked and we were glad that it didn’t rain during our stay. The door by the parking lot that we went into was not a locked door so that was a not good. "

The Cliff Dweller on Lake Superior

"This is a great hotel with all rooms overlooking Lake Superior. Rooms are updated and very clean. The inroom coffee maker, mini frig and microwave were nice added features. They even serve a small complimentary breakfast items in the lobby and they have free bike rentals. Staff was amazing."

Feather Nest Inn

"Stay was good. Check-in was confusing and difficult to find the unit and management was difficult to contact. "

The Shoreline Inn

"We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay for one night on a road trip. We have stayed at this hotel before and know its a old hotel. You cannot beat the location. We made the reservation on Expedia.com and I think it was a surprise to the young lady at the front desk. I don't think she was aware of the new reservation even though it was in their system. Fortunate for for us they had a lakeside room available that she upgraded us to. The room was appropriate for the price but you cannot beat the view. Disappointed there wasn't any coffee available in the morning. We checked back 3 times and the same young lady kept talking with another young girl at the desk for over 1/2 hr and never made more coffee."

Poplar River Condos
10/10 Excellent
"This was a beautiful place inside and out. The view was beautiful. Just a short walk down to Lake Superior. We had games to play and a cozy fireplace. It was wonderful."

Caribou Highlands Lodge
