"What a find! The reviews said that some rooms were a bit tired and the food is good with generous portions. So I thought I’d take a chance. It was good value especially compared to accommodation in Spain, where I had just been. The room was excellent - one of the largest rooms that I’ve stayed in. Food really was superb - really well cooked and generous portions. I was able to park my motorbike in a locked compound which has also has a security camera. The spa had Turkish and Swedish saunas, a small pool and an area to lounge around - great at the end of the day after enjoying the roads. The Portuguese roads!!! Wonderful bends and (in March) very few people on the roads. And great value. What’s not to like? All I can say, is what a find – thoroughly recommended. "

"This is such a cool location. We only stayed for one night but the breakfast was delightful, staff was kind and welcoming, and the room was spacious and clean. Be sure to call when you arrive so they can come greet you at the door! "

" A quietly brilliant stay. The welcome was warm without the fuss, the beds were the sink-into-oblivion kind, and the shower actually understood the assignment. Breakfast — light, thoughtful, and included in the room rate — felt like a small act of generosity rather than an upsell. Parking was easy, the internet behaved itself, and there’s a supermarket a couple of minutes away for any last-minute cravings. Calm, considered, and doing exactly what it should — beautifully. "

All in all a wonderful place to stay not far from Portugal Spanish border. Listing did not say that whilst it was off a listed road it was not now the main road so was quiet.Hotel refurbished a year or so ago and is popular with locals always a good sign "
