Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, this charming town offers over 250 waterfalls and the magical white squirrels of Pisgah Forest. Paddle the French Broad River in the morning, then explore downtown's music scene where local bluegrass players gather after sunset.
It is a beautiful town with incredible food options. Waterfalls are minutes away and hiking trails are plentiful. It has a wonderful vibe. The white squirrel festival is something I will suggest to everyone! It was a blast.

We love waterfalls, so we'll definitely be back to visit more of them! Brevard has a ton of cute shops and apparently some good music (we missed out on the music) and some great restaurants. Love this place!

Heads up that you can take an Uber or Lyft from AVL but not back to AVL, and not in town. Only taxi service is available (taxi company has a monopoly?)

There is a greenway nearby and river tubing a few minutes away. Lots of interesting shops downtown also.
