"Stayed for 2 nights. Just perfect. Breakfast perfect. Main meals perfect. Staff perfect. Room was just fabulously perfect. The uneven floors were beautful and the effort made to keep it looking old is to be applauded. The doors were awesome. We find somewhere like this every year around this time for our birthdays and anniversary. Always somewhere with history and central to exploring. First time in 100s we'll be coming back.The whole bodmin area is astounding and the Jamaica is the perfect base from which to explore. 12th c Knights Templar church is a must find, and Lady in the Lake (Excalibur) OMG."

"The tree Inn is a very traditional and historic inn located within the village centre. The building is split over a traditional horse and cart entrance with the pub on one side and the rooms on the other side. The pub isn't rowdy but if there was any noise it would remain quiet in rooms due to this separation. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the communal areas retain much of the original features of the building. Breakfast is provided within a breakfast room located within the inn side away from the pub. Evening meals if desired can be found in the pub itself. Although the pub itself doesn't have parking, there is a large and free village car park just down from the pub and it is possible to drive to the entrance of the pub to drop off and pick up bags. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I found the Inn to be an excellent place to stay. I particularly liked the historic charm of the building, the friendly, accommodating staff, the ability to use the pub which provides good quality meals, drinks and pool table as well as a log fire. I also thought the location was highly desirable being very close to Bude and the beach whilst being able to retreat to a much quieter location, away from the hustle, bustle and other tourists at the end of the day. Stratton itself is a peaceful and charming village which is worth a visit in its own right and provides that tranquility away from much busier Bude. "

"The hotel overlooks Summerleaze beach & has lovely views - our room looked over the beach too The room we were in was spacious and very clean and we had a very good nights sleep All the staff we encountered were welcoming and friendly and made our stay a very pleasant experience The slight downside was parking - there were only limited spaces outside the hotel but we were able to park in a nearby car park which was free overnight (less than a five minute walk from the hotel) We would definitely stay at this hotel again "

"Check in instructions were great and What 3 Words took me right to the door. Apartment was warm, spacious and clean, with a great shower and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s super handy for the beach. There are some unfinished apartments nextdoor which are unsightly. However, they cause no issue and they are soon to be finished which will make the whole complex a lovely area. It’s peaceful and you can hear the sea with a window open. And apparently the hail - great British weather! I was visiting a relative at a nearby care home and it was perfect for what I needed. Would highly recommend "

"Quiet clean room. Problem with bathroom sink waste was promptly dealt with. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room first rate. Helpful list of local eateries supplied."

"We have stayed at the falcon several times in the past and every time the food, rooms and the staff are fantastic. We come from Canada and each time we visit bude this is our place of choice to stay."
