We stayed at Hotel Lodewijk Van Male during our visit to Bruges for the Christmas markets, and it was a wonderful base for the trip. The hotel is set in a beautiful, peaceful location just outside the city centre, offering a welcome sense of calm after busy days exploring the markets and historic streets.
The building itself is full of character, with a warm and traditional feel throughout. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well presented, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The grounds are particularly lovely and added to the charm of the experience, especially during the winter season.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a generous selection of fresh and tasty options to set us up well for the day ahead.
Overall, this is a charming and comfortable hotel that offers a peaceful retreat while still being well connected to Bruges. We would happily stay again and would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the city, particularly during the Christmas markets.
